A New Space for Critical Analysis

It is with great satisfaction that we launch Bússola Vermelha (Red Compass), a blog dedicated to critical analysis of political, economic, and social issues from a progressive left perspective.

Our Proposal

We live in a historical moment of profound transformations and challenges. Economic crises, threats to democracy, climate change, and the resurgence of authoritarian discourses demand serious, well-founded analyses committed to progressive values.

This blog is born with the mission to:

1. Critically analyze major national and international political events
2. Promote debate about progressive alternatives to hegemonic models
3. Defend human rights and social justice
4. Strengthen democracy through information and qualified debate

The Topics We Will Address

Our content is organized around four major thematic axes:

International Politics

Analysis of international relations, geopolitics, conflicts, international cooperation, and the challenges of multilateralism in the contemporary era.

Political Economy

Discussions about economic models, inequality, sustainable development, and alternatives to neoliberalism being built in different parts of the world.

Human Rights

Reflections on fundamental rights, struggles for equality, social movements, and the defense of minorities against all forms of oppression.

Latin America

A special focus on our region, its historical particularities, contemporary challenges, and potential as a laboratory for progressive experiences.

Why a Progressive Perspective?

We believe the progressive left has much to contribute to contemporary debates. Our values - social justice, equality, sustainability, participatory democracy, and respect for diversity - are fundamental to building a better world.

This is not about dogmatism, but about a worldview committed to social transformation and defending the most vulnerable.

Invitation to Dialogue

This is a space open to respectful and well-founded debate. We believe in the power of ideas and the importance of dialogue for maturing our positions.

We hope this blog can contribute to deeper analyses, richer debates, and perhaps inspire some transformative actions.
